TheWell Bioscience releases more case studies of VitroGel 3D system

Discover the success stories of VitroGel 3D

TheWell Bioscience released a new web page of “Case Studies” to publish the success data of VitroGel 3D. From 3D cell culture to 2D coating, VitroGel 3D has been successfully used on different projects with many cell lines. Scientists are impressed by VitroGel 3D’s ease of use and satisfied with the promising results. Customers have used the cell culture system for cancer and tumor cell biology, stem cells and tissue engineering, drug discovery and toxicity study and much more.
In the newly released case studies, VitroGel 3D system has been used for both 3D culture and 2D coating of Human Foreskin Fibroblast (hFS) derived Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs), Human lymphoblastoid Priess cells, Human Embryonic kidney (HEK293) cells and Beta Lox 5 (BL5) cells. The results show that VitroGel 3D supports healthy cell growth and creates an in vivo-like environment which allows the morphologies of cells to perform closely to their natural state. Media can easily penetrate the hydrogel matrix and provide nutrition for long-term cell culture. In addition, current microscopy technology can be routinely used to observe the growth of cells.

VitroGel 3D-a ready-to-use hydrogel system

VitroGel 3D is an animal origin-free polysaccharide hydrogel system. It creates a functional and optimized environment to make cells feel like home. Many types of cell lines have been used in this system for multiple applications. Compared to other 3D cell culture product, VitroGel 3D system is easier to use and cost effective. This system is room temperature stable with neutral pH. The hydrogel solution transforms into a highly cross-linked matrix structure in response to the changes of ionic strength such as directly mixing with cell culture media. The hydrogel is transparent and compatible with different imaging systems. Oxygen, nutrition, and other molecules can easily move in/out the hydrogel system.
