Can VitroGel® Organoid Recovery Solution replace trypsin for cell dissociation?

The VitroGel® Organoid Recovery Solution is designed to recover intact 3D cells/organoids from either VitroGel® or an animal-based ECM such as Matrigel. The solution can safely dissolve the matrix and release the cell from the matrix (either 3D encapsulation or 2D coating surface). It can not replace trypsin break cell-cell and cell-plastic attachment. To harvest cells from the matrix and dissociate into single cells, VitroGel® Organoid Recovery Solution can be mixed with Trypsin or other cell dissociation solution (1:1 ratio). Or the customer can person two-step cell dissociation: harvest the intact 3D cells from the matrix using the VitroGel® Organoid Recovery solution and then dissociate for single cells using the cell dissociation solution.
