VitroPrime™ Cell Culture Inserts

VitroPrime™ Cell Culture Inserts closely mimic the in vivo environment, promoting enhanced attachment, growth, and differentiation of a wide range of cell types. Their permeable nature makes inserts a convenient and powerful resource for various research applications, including studies related to cell migration and invasion.
  • Excellent-quality images can be taken with VitroPrime™ Cell Culture Inserts.
    – The membrane does not stain when performing common staining for imaging (i.e., crystal violet).
    – Images can be taken without removing the insert from the plate.
  • Even pore sizes throughout the membrane provide accurate results when evaluating cell invasion.
  • Medium can be added to the outer wells without removing the inserts.
  • The inserts support and sustain proper solidification of the hydrogel matrices.

Role of cell culture inserts in cell invasion:

Why Study Cell Invasion?

Cell invasion and migration are essential for processes like tissue development, immune responses, wound healing, and cancer spread. During invasion, cells undergo morphological changes, degrade the extracellular matrix, and respond to environmental signals.

Invasion assays are crucial for studying these processes, providing insights into normal functions and diseases. Understanding cell invasion is key for developing targeted therapies and improving cancer treatment outcomes.
